My Rockstar is operated by Boggle and Lugg, a trading name of Mark Pool, a sole trader registered in the United Kingdom.

2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following personal data when you use My Rockstar:
- Account information: name, email address, and date of birth (used to verify you are 18 or over).
- Profile information: profile photos and any details you choose to add to your profile.
- Messages: the content of your conversations with AI-generated rockstar characters within the app.
- Preferences: your likes, swipes, and interaction history within the app.
- Coarse location: your approximate location (city-level), if you choose to provide it.
- Device information: device type and push notification tokens, used to deliver notifications.
- Payment information: subscription status is managed by RevenueCat and Apple. We do not store your payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data for the following purposes:
- Providing the service: to create your account, display your profile, generate AI responses to your messages, and deliver personalised news articles about your rockstars.
- Age verification: to ensure all users are 18 or over.
- Notifications: to send you push notifications about new messages from your rockstars.
- Personalisation: to tailor AI conversations and news content based on your interactions and preferences.
- Safety and moderation: to enforce our content policies and respond to reports.
4. AI-Generated Content
My Rockstar uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude API) to generate rockstar character responses and personalised news articles. Your messages are sent to this service to generate replies. The AI processes your messages server-side and does not retain your data beyond generating the response. All rockstar characters are entirely fictional.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)
We process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract: processing necessary to provide the My Rockstar service to you.
- Consent: where you have given consent, such as for push notifications and data processing during onboarding.
- Legitimate interests: to maintain the safety and security of the service.
6. Data Sharing
We share your data with the following third-party services, solely to operate My Rockstar:
- Firebase (Google): authentication, database, file storage, cloud functions, and push notifications.
- Anthropic: AI message generation (your messages are sent server-side to generate responses).
- RevenueCat: subscription and payment management.
- Resend: transactional emails (verification, password reset).
- Apple: payment processing via the App Store.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We do not use your data for advertising or tracking.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
8. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data — you can request an export via the app settings.
- Correct inaccurate data — you can edit your profile at any time.
- Delete your data — you can delete your account from the app settings.
- Data portability — you can request an export of your data.
- Withdraw consent — you can withdraw consent at any time (e.g., disabling notifications).
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
9. Children
My Rockstar is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Age verification is enforced during account creation.

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure server-side processing, and secure credential storage using the iOS Keychain.
